Our Computer Literacy Training Program is a 5-day, hands-on learning experience designed to build practical, confidence-based computer skills for today’s workplace and everyday life. While typically delivered over five full days, this program is completely customizable and can be adapted in length, pace, and content to meet the specific needs, goals, and priorities of each First Nation community.
This program is suitable for all skill levels, including participants with no prior computer experience.

No experience necessary. We start from the basics and build skills step-by-step in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Program Overview
Participants develop essential computer skills needed for employment, education, and community roles, including:
- Basic computer use and navigation
- Understanding computer hardware and software
- Email setup, sending, receiving, and organizing messages
- File and folder organization
- Introduction to Microsoft Office 365, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Teams
- Online safety, digital confidence, and troubleshooting common issues
The program emphasizes hands-on learning, repetition, and real-world application so participants leave feeling capable and confident using technology independently.
Fully Customizable to Community Needs
Although this is a 5-day program, it can be:
- Shortened or extended
- Delivered over non-consecutive days or weeks
- Tailored to specific roles (band administration, job readiness, education, reporting, etc.)
- Adjusted for literacy levels, learning styles, and access to technology
- Delivered in-person or virtually
